Utilities

Utilities depend on technology that has to work around the clock. Net Tech Integration has the network and OT expertise to design, build, and support water and wastewater treatment, electric distribution, and natural gas operations throughout North Carolina, southern Virginia, and upstate South Carolina.

Infrastructure that does not sit in one building

A utility network can span a treatment plant, pump and lift stations, storage, metering, substations, and other remote assets. Each site needs a dependable connection to operations, often over challenging terrain and infrastructure.

We build and monitor those connections so operators have the visibility they need. When a remote issue can be resolved without a site visit, we handle it efficiently. When hands-on work is required, we travel to the site.

Operations we support

Water and wastewater treatment
Treatment plants, lift and pump stations, booster stations, and the SCADA and telemetry links connecting remote assets to a central operations team.
Electric distribution
Substation networks, distribution automation, and secure remote access for engineering teams and approved vendors.
Natural gas operations
Connectivity for regulator stations, odorization, and remote monitoring across a distribution system.
Metering, storage, and field assets
Documentation, connectivity, and monitoring for equipment distributed throughout a service territory.

What we do

Assessment
We document what is connected, what can reach it, and where older links or access paths may create unnecessary exposure.
Network design
We design segmented networks around your operating requirements, including vendor access, historian traffic, and remote support.
Implementation
Work is staged around operating constraints, verified at each step, and documented throughout.
Remote-site connectivity
We connect pump stations, substations, and field assets using the wired, wireless, or cellular options best suited to each location.
Monitoring and response
We monitor the control-network boundary, investigate issues, and help resolve them instead of simply forwarding alerts.
Backup and recovery
We back up network-device configurations and establish a tested recovery process.

Substations, reclosers, and everything between them

Electric distribution networks often include protection and control equipment built for long service lives and specialized protocols. Those systems need network infrastructure designed for the physical environment, operational schedule, and security requirements of the utility.

We account for temperature, electrical noise, power conditions, and the need to keep business-network incidents away from protection and control systems. Vendor access is specific, time-bound, and logged. We apply the same disciplined approach to gas operations and other remote utility assets.

Reachable, and willing to drive

Net Tech Integration offers specialized OT networking with the continuity of a dedicated team. You work with people who know your environment, and when equipment at a remote site needs hands-on attention, we make the trip.
